Synopsis: Comedian Paola Cortellesi’s black-and-white directorial debut follows Delia, a working-class mother who experiences domestic abuse at the hands of her military veteran husband. Delia suffers in silence, but then a mysterious letter arrives giving her the courage to change the circumstances of her life. The boy’s father is the leader of the last nomads until he dies; and Amra is compelled to carry on his father's David vs. Goliath fight with his own cleverness and the tools of an 11-year-old boy. 10th Annual Short Film Competition

Mountain Shadow's 10th Annual Short Film Competition brought eleven Finalists out of 344 submissions -- selected by our volunteer member jurors -- to Walnut Creek on Sept. 14th; to present their animated, live-action and documentary short films in person for audience choice awards.
